In the 10thth minute of the game Ange Chatry who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caaguazu's Vincente Monzon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Caaguazu's goal looked a bit too open when Ange Chatry came free, but Vincente Monzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Caaguazu getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Felix Olloa hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Caaguazu defense, Jean-Pascal Herrmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vincente Monzon. The Caaguazu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vincente Monzon should have stopped the shot. Vincente Monzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ange Chatry in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Ange Chatry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cats and dogs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ange Chatry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute Jean-Pascal Herrmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Monzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurre Belorado struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Franz Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caaguazu. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cats and dogs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valente Nieva was slow to take the kick. During this time Caaguazu's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Caaguazu's Valente Nieva to fire away a dangerous shot which Franz Torres despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute Ange Chatry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Monzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincente Monzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ange Chatry in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Pascal Herrmann in the 43rd minute of play forced Caaguazu's goalkeeper Vincente Monzon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Hocine Maret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Monzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincente Monzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ange Chatry in the 48th minute of play.

Vincente Monzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Pascal Herrmann in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Caaguazu's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Pascal Herrmann came free, but Vincente Monzon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caaguazu's Vincente Monzon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Caaguazu from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute, Ange Chatry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Caaguazu getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Pankracy Kasiewski hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Jean-Pascal Herrmann dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vincente Monzon, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Cats and dogs's zone, Valente Nieva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franz Torres came out of the goal and Valente Nieva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 98 minutes Caaguazu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ange Chatry who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Hocine Maret got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vincente Monzon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
