Virgil Olariu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinícius das Neves in the 4th minute. Granadero10's Sydney Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompiliu Ghionescu in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Granadero10 getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Virgílio Seco hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Granadero10 defense, Pompiliu Ghionescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sydney Barros. The Granadero10 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sydney Barros should have stopped the shot. In the 31st match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Sena to maneuver through the defense. Sydney Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Chirculescu in the 32nd minute of play. Pompiliu Ghionescu took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Barros. Sydney Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 45 minutes into the game, Leonard Chirculescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Sydney Barros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Paralia Athens were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Paralia Athens's Teodor Chirilă quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pedro Augusto Capixaba, made in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 56th minute Leonard Chirculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonard Chirculescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sydney Barros. That made the score 0-4 in the 58 minute of play. After 61 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Găman. Tiago Sena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Virgil Olariu. Paralia Athens's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sydney Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Chirculescu in the 65th minute of the match. Costel Neagoe lost his temper 69 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 68 minutes into the game, one of Paralia Athens:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius das Neves in the 81st minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Virgil Olariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Dorel Găman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Granadero10's Severino Mendes got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Severino Mendes off the ground. Severino Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Pompiliu Ghionescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Sydney Barros however easily saved by the left post. Virgílio Seco hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Paralia Athens's Pompiliu Ghionescu got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pompiliu Ghionescu got free with Sydney Barros in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute, Mircea Robu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pompiliu Ghionescu hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. The Paralia Athens supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Paralia Athens would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
