Claudinei de Alcântara started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Key Biscayne FC defense, Carlos Eduardo Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brice Carey. The Key Biscayne FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brice Carey should have stopped the shot. If Dênis Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brice Carey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. WAU team's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos Eduardo Alagoano in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Claudinei de Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brice Carey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Tande came free, but Brice Carey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Claudinei de Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Key Biscayne FC's Brice Carey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Key Biscayne FC's Evandro Ortiz threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roderick Higgins, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 22 minutes into the match, Claudinei de Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brice Carey. Key Biscayne FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinei de Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Dênis Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerald Hutton during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gerald Hutton kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. WAU team's Claudinei de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinei de Alcântara scored 0-4 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brice Carey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd match minute, Key Biscayne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Kohler to maneuver through the defense. Brice Carey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dênis Tande went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Brice Carey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinei de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Kiko Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Brice Carey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Alagoano in the 40th minute of play. Brice Carey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Fuentes to make the kick off. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Colin Kohler hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei de Alcântara in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brice Carey saved Key Biscayne FC from getting behind. In the 55th match minute, Key Biscayne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Kohler to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei de Alcântara came free, but Brice Carey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vágner Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Colin Kohler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Key Biscayne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Colin Kohler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evandro Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of WAU team booed when Key Biscayne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Rice didn't get a good kick on the ball. Key Biscayne FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Claudinei de Alcântara scored to the left of an out of position Brice Carey, making the score, 0-7. Evandro Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Fuentes in the 84th minute of the match. Dênis Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, WAU team's Dênis Tande dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. After a rather tough play, WAU team's Dênis Tande got a free kick in the 94th minute. If Claudinei de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Key Biscayne FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching WAU team's performance. The match ended with a win for WAU team.
