In the 22nd minute, Geovânio Veiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Vargas in the 27th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Sérgio Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovânio Veiga scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sérgio Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sérgio Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geovânio Veiga went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Sérgio Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Veiga in the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Pindobassu EC booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Capibaribe Stars's Sérgio Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. Sérgio Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Jeff Beck sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes into the game, Nilmar Vargas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sérgio Queiroz. Nilmar Vargas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Pindobassu EC made a substitution. Azmi Kamuran replaced Víktor Donatello. After a rather tough play, Capibaribe Stars's Váldson de Sena got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pindobassu EC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Rodriguez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pindobassu EC's Wilian Mendonça was substituted for Geovânio Veiga. In the 94th minute Jorginho Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Vasconcelos. With a little luck, Capibaribe Stars's Sérgio Queiroz got control of the ball when Jorginho Munhoz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Capibaribe Stars fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pindobassu EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
