Spectators: 7787 (Terracing: 5841, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 155) Franck Bormans started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute, Geovânio Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wannes De Tapp was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lennart De Keyser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovânio Veiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wannes De Tapp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovânio Veiga ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, Jeff Beck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wannes De Tapp. Invictus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeff Beck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Alessandro Pavard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Invictus FC's Wannes De Tapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar Vargas in the 29th minute of play. Wilfredo Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart De Keyser, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Veiga in the 40th minute of play forced Invictus FC's goalkeeper Wannes De Tapp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeff Beck to strike the kick off in the second half. Wannes De Tapp stood somewhat misplaced when Nilmar Vargas came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 55 minute. In the 60th minute, Olavo Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lennart De Keyser scored 1-4 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilfredo Rodriguez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olavo Linares made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Invictus FC's Glenn Cortens. When Lennart De Keyser came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Invictus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lennart De Keyser couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Invictus FC's goalkeeper Wannes De Tapp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Diniz. The throw-in from Humberto Diniz in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Invictus FC's Jamie van Elderen. After 85 minutes, Oswald Van den Panhuizen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Invictus FC and the Pindobassu EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pindobassu EC booed when Invictus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswald Van den Panhuizen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mário Azevedo's shot from long distance in the 87th minute was not bad at all, but Invictus FC's Wannes De Tapp knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 90th minute, Nilmar Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pindobassu EC played a much better game than Invictus FC and deserved their victory. The Invictus FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
