Kristian Willem Neuling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart De Keyser, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiger's goalkeeper Kristian Willem Neuling, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute Lennart De Keyser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Willem Neuling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristian Willem Neuling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Sterckx in the 11th minute of the match. Tiger's Kristian Willem Neuling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart De Keyser in the 15th minute of play. Olgierd Lato made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Elis Färber immediately put the ball in play. In the 29th minute Lennart De Keyser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Willem Neuling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Invictus FC got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Cortens. In the 35th match minute, Invictus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Sterckx to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Elis Färber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wannes De Tapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiger's Elis Färber got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Günther Scharpe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wannes De Tapp. Invictus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Günther Scharpe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Günther Scharpe fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiger's protests and gave Günther Scharpe a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Günther Scharpe got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franck Bormans was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Invictus FC got a freekick which was hit by Franck Bormans. Dé Pereira's late challenge caught a Invictus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dé Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. Dé Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Wannes De Tapp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elis Färber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart De Keyser in the 60th minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Kristian Willem Neuling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristian Willem Neuling was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lennart De Keyser showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 68 minute of play.
