When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilton Sanches made a kick off. Frederico de Salles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frederico de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Sarmento in the 82nd minute of the match. Barbie Doll United U23's Pedrão Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Barbie Doll United U23's Pedrão Arce got a free kick in the 84th minute. Frederico de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guto Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute Fausto de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Barbie Doll United U23 defense, Fausto de Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frederico de Salles. The Barbie Doll United U23 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frederico de Salles should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. America Futebol Clube SP fully deserved thier win.
