An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Domingues in the 4th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Martin Găvănescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Găvănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Mendes in the 8th minute of the match. Inter Gala's Luís Eduardo Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Inter Gala from getting a goal against them. Emerald's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mugurel Cezar in the 12th minute. Emerald were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Inter Gala's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mugurel Cezar took the corner. Emerald's Mugurel Cezar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luís Eduardo Valle in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Inter Gala's Luís Eduardo Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Diculescu in the 34th minute of play. Martin Găvănescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agostinho Domingues went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Inter Gala were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Celso Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Eduardo Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Diculescu in the 59th minute of the match. Martin Găvănescu made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Agostinho Domingues sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 66 minutes, Sandu Claudiescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emerald's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Claudiescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agostinho Domingues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Găvănescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Martin Găvănescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Domingues in the 73rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agostinho Domingues in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Găvănescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Eduardo Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Claudiescu in the 75th minute of play. If Isac Manciulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Isac Manciulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Eduardo Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Domingues to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Cristian Diculescu sped through Inter Gala's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Eduardo Valle. André Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Inter Gala getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Luís Eduardo Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Diculescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Inter Gala had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
