After a rather tough play, Shark FC - FSCMZ's Edinho Simões got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Glauco Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Ahlén in the 31st minute of play. When Percival Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shark FC - FSCMZ's protests and gave Percival Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Shark FC - FSCMZ's zone, Åke Gunnarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Velloso came out of the goal and Åke Gunnarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
