Kaká Goiano started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Dallas Seymour was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New England Minas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AF CERRADO the free kick. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Dallas Seymour got a free kick in the 5th minute. José Augusto de Godoi came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by New England Minas's Fletcher Lund. But to his dismay, Fletcher Lund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Gaúcho came free, but Segundo Gol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New England Minas's Segundo Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Gaúcho in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match AF CERRADO got a corner. New England Minas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Richard Travassos ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Richard Travassos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Segundo Gol quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Nestor Cordeiro got a free kick in the 17th minute. New England Minas's Segundo Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Gaúcho in the 20th minute of play. Didi Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Didi Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the AF CERRADO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didi Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. José Augusto de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fletcher Lund in the 28th minute of play. Dwayne Clement sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dallas Seymour in the 35th minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper José Augusto de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AF CERRADO's José Augusto de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dallas Seymour in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Renatinho Leal had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Kaba Sø hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Kaká Goiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Segundo Gol was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dallas Seymour made a kick off. Segundo Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Goiano in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute Didi Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute Dwayne Clement shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Augusto de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Dallas Seymour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Segundo Gol successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 62nd minute, Richard Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Yurin in the 63rd minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper José Augusto de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of New England Minas booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. AF CERRADO's José Augusto de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dwayne Clement in the 66th minute of play. José Augusto de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fletcher Lund in the 68th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Diogo Yurin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this José Augusto de Godoi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 73rd minute, Didi Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fletcher Lund took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Augusto de Godoi. José Augusto de Godoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Fletcher Lund hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Fletcher Lund came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the New England Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fletcher Lund couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaká Goiano during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Goiano. 89 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Kaba Sø came free, but José Augusto de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute New England Minas were awarded a corner. Diogo Yurin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Diogo Yurin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AF CERRADO's José Augusto de Godoi did a great save. Segundo Gol made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Jefferson Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. New England Minas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
