The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lekko Spoceni's Dariusz Zbytniewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bacary Pincon in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Bacary Pincon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dariusz Zbytniewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dariusz Zbytniewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romuald Combret in the 25th minute. Dariusz Zbytniewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bacary Pincon, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Bacary Pincon fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Bacary Pincon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dariusz Zbytniewski having to make a save. When Bacary Pincon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 43 minutes had been played. The supporters of Lekko Spoceni booed when corsaire nantais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bacary Pincon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hubert Donnet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Dubiel in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute Wawrzyniec Smolarek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Donnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Donnet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Dubiel in the 55th minute. Romuald Combret scored 1-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dariusz Zbytniewski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hubert Donnet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The corsaire nantais supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lekko Spoceni's performance. The match ended with a win for Lekko Spoceni.
