Romuald Combret started the match with the kick off. When Amerigo Batuecas fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.D. Alcorcón's protests and gave Amerigo Batuecas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, A.D. Alcorcón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerigo Batuecas to maneuver through the defense. After 3 played minutes, corsaire nantais's Charles Cosse shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juanito Erosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in corsaire nantais reached it. Juanito Erosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bacary Pincon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 8 minutes of play, A.D. Alcorcón's Apoena Izquierdo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hubert Donnet was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th minute Apoena Izquierdo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Donnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Toxeiro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, corsaire nantais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romuald Combret to maneuver through the defense. Nelson Maussion charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelson Maussion the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, A.D. Alcorcón's Fernando Toxeiro got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Romuald Combret ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juanito Erosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Hubert Donnet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apoena Izquierdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A.D. Alcorcón's Juanito Erosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romuald Combret in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, one of A.D. Alcorcón:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave corsaire nantais a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ilan Le Saux, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of A.D. Alcorcón's Juanito Erosa. 2-2. Juanito Erosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romuald Combret, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of A.D. Alcorcón booed when corsaire nantais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bacary Pincon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apoena Izquierdo to make the kick off. Hubert Donnet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apoena Izquierdo in the 65th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes corsaire nantais got a freekick which was hit by Bacary Pincon. 69 minutes into the game, A.D. Alcorcón's Apoena Izquierdo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hubert Donnet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Celedonio Pedraza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hubert Donnet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Stanislas Chaperon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Juanito Erosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to corsaire nantais getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Bacary Pincon hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Alanzo Torrente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hubert Donnet was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2.
