After 4 played minutes Limoeiro-PE FC got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Nóbrega. Claudinho Nascimento hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Sahala Maranatha succeeded in the game's 7th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The supporters of Limoeiro-PE FC booed when PHOENIX SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sobur Al-Habsy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurniawan Bisri made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Cacá Arósio sent off a good shot on target. Kurniawan Bisri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Borges in the 14th minute of play. Limoeiro-PE FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cheito Molek in the 15th minute. PHOENIX SC's Sahala Maranatha got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andra Levandy took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Carneiro. Ricardo Carneiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cacá Arósio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Kurniawan Bisri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 30th minute Andra Levandy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Borges in the 31st minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Kurniawan Bisri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurniawan Bisri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Koban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sahala Maranatha in the 38th minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes of play, PHOENIX SC's Victor Osimhen made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardo Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apa Mau, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cacá Arósio to strike the kick off in the second half. Limoeiro-PE FC's Ricardo Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Osimhen in the 51st minute of play. Kurniawan Bisri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Koban in the 58th minute of play. If Andra Levandy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Borges came free, but Kurniawan Bisri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Sahala Maranatha lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Ricardo Carneiro. Limoeiro-PE FC made a substitution. Kerem Gol replaced Cacá Arósio. PHOENIX SC's Rico Müssner was substituted for Apa Mau. 77 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Osimhen. Ricardo Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Tanonaka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Carneiro came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by PHOENIX SC's Victor Osimhen. But to his dismay, Victor Osimhen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 91st minute, Raphael Borges made a precise shot to the right of Kurniawan Bisri. PHOENIX SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The Limoeiro-PE FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PHOENIX SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
