An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Borges in the 5th minute of play forced Riemannian's goalkeeper David Mangas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Louis Gonzalvez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Ricardo Carneiro made a huge save. The corner ended in Neto Vazquez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Limoeiro-PE FC's Ricardo Carneiro did a great save. After 15 minutes, Yan Koban made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Riemannian's David Mangas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Riemannian's Segundo Sauca got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Neto Vazquez during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Neto Vazquez hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the match Cheito Molek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Mangas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Renato Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Carneiro having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Riemannian got a freekick which was hit by Dorio Herrera. The supporters of Limoeiro-PE FC booed when Riemannian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neto Vazquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute Yan Koban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Mangas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Cheito Molek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. David Mangas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 45 minutes, Louis Gonzalvez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riemannian's supporters crossed their fingers, but Louis Gonzalvez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cacá Arósio made the kick off in the second half. Elias March's late challenge caught a Limoeiro-PE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias March helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Riemannian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias March to maneuver through the defense. David Mangas made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Cheito Molek sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Louis Gonzalvez in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Carneiro saved Limoeiro-PE FC from getting behind. The supporters of Riemannian booed when Limoeiro-PE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorio Herrera came free, but Ricardo Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cacá Arósio's late challenge caught a Riemannian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Carneiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Ricardo Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorio Herrera in the 78th minute of play. After 83 played minutes Riemannian got a freekick which was hit by Louis Gonzalvez. In the 85th minute of the match, Kerem Gol got a very nice opportunity to score, but David Mangas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 86th minute Yan Koban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Mangas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes Riemannian got a freekick which was hit by Louis Gonzalvez. Olívio Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Limoeiro-PE FC's Kerem Gol in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Riemannian's goalie prevented a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Limoeiro-PE FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Riemannian.
