In the 16th minute, Markos Kareklopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Riemannian's David Mangas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitris Koudas in the 19th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorio Herrera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Markos Kareklopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Mangas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Renato Diaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eustratios Vertsotis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 71st match minute, Riemannian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Gonzalvez to maneuver through the defense. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 87 played minutes Olympiacos FC got a freekick which was hit by Markos Kareklopoulos. Vinicio Olle was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Vinicio Olle hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Olympiacos FC's Nikiforos Valaoras got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Louis Gonzalvez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Vertsotis having to interfere. The Riemannian players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
