With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lawrence De Marco in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Sterckmans saved KV Schoonwater from getting behind. KV Schoonwater's Artur Sterckmans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save KV Schoonwater from getting a goal against them. KV Schoonwater were furious when Carl Van Cleijnenbruegel was red carded, 22 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 22 played minutes KV Schoonwater got a freekick which was hit by Carl Van Cleijnenbruegel. Artur Sterckmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Incorvaia in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, KV Schoonwater's Maxime Caes got a free kick in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Mario Pullicino could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Artur Sterckmans however easily saved by the left post. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorie Kloots in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Gillis Lembrechts came free, but Amadeo Rapinett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo Rapinett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gillis Lembrechts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Constant Van den Gans kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Attard Gunners's Angelo Incorvaia tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gillis Lembrechts to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Pullicino in the 51st minute of play forced KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Artur Sterckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mattias Vanden Driessche fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KV Schoonwater's protests and gave Mattias Vanden Driessche a yellow card for diving instead. Artur Sterckmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Zrinzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KV Schoonwater would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
