The Gothic Souls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Nizam Kutlay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Öztürk Umuralp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yalçın Olgunay. Blue Mountain State's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Öztürk Umuralp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 24 minutes into the game, Gothic Souls's Nizam Kutlay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yalçın Olgunay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 29 minutes into the game, Sezer İnan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Yalçın Olgunay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yalçın Olgunay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cumali Radi in the 37th minute of the match. Blue Mountain State's Yalçın Olgunay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xabi Alonso in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Artun Şenyurt made a precise shot to the right of Umur Yuluğ. Gothic Souls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. In the 48th minute, Öztürk Umuralp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gothic Souls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artun Şenyurt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yalçın Olgunay came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Gothic Souls's Cumali Radi. But to his dismay, Cumali Radi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Artun Şenyurt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umur Yuluğ having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Muhsin Taze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yalçın Olgunay was a little too slow when Sezer İnan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-8. Umur Yuluğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Macit Zafer in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Blue Mountain State booed when Gothic Souls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acun Erdoğdu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Uğurcan Tanören sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Umur Yuluğ skillfully saved the ball. Umur Yuluğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhsin Taze in the 77th minute of play. Yıldırım Mertkal hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Artun Şenyurt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Macit Zafer made a precise shot to the right of Umur Yuluğ. Gothic Souls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-8. In the 94th minute Artun Şenyurt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umur Yuluğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gothic Souls's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
