Serafin Igon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Gert-Jan Van de Velde made a huge save. If Serafin Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, Piquirenda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Aznaro to maneuver through the defense. Serafin Igon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gert-Jan Van de Velde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Bartolo Amato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve De kaiser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Piquirenda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Stroobans came free, but Bartolo Amato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Piquirenda FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erwin Naets was slow to take the kick. During this time De Keikoppers's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on De Keikoppers's corner Erwin Naets fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bartolo Amato quite easily take care of the ball. Silvestre Peter was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Piquirenda FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve De kaiser in the 29th minute of play forced Piquirenda FC's goalkeeper Bartolo Amato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Silvestre Peter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kobe Vanneste hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, one of De Keikoppers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 37th minute, Kobe Vanneste left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Keikoppers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Gert-Jan Van de Velde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafin Igon in the 41st minute. If Serafin Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bartolo Amato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kobe Vanneste, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafin Igon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erwin Naets in the 53rd minute of play forced Piquirenda FC's goalkeeper Bartolo Amato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. De Keikoppers's Erwin Naets was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bartolo Amato in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. De Keikoppers's Boris Stroobant suffered a sore thigh after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Franco Mastantuono fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piquirenda FC's protests and gave Franco Mastantuono a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda FC's Franco Mastantuono got a free kick in the 66th minute. Bartolo Amato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anthoon Uyterhelcht in the 70th minute. A collision led to De Keikoppers getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Erwin Naets hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Perry Stroobans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Amato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Piquirenda FC! When Piquirenda FC's Serafin Igon in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye De Keikoppers's goalie prevented a goal. De Keikoppers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
