Menderes Hikmet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence De Marco in the 8th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Amadeo Rapinett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sezer İnan. Thomas Zrinzo took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Menderes Hikmet. Menderes Hikmet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 32 minutes, Roberto Borg Olivier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Attard Gunners and the Gothic Souls players grew even worse after the yellow card. 37 minutes into the match, Gothic Souls's Sezer İnan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeo Rapinett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett got control of the ball when Sezer İnan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Öztürk Umuralp in the 41st minute of play. After 46 minutes, Özden Nesefi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gothic Souls and the Attard Gunners players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Attard Gunners booed when Gothic Souls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özden Nesefi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Menderes Hikmet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Xuereb, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lawrence De Marco to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Sezer İnan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rapinett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Attard Gunners getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Josh Triganza hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Marcel Desailly shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeo Rapinett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 69th match minute, Gothic Souls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acun Erdoğdu to maneuver through the defense. Amadeo Rapinett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sezer İnan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Zrinzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Menderes Hikmet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Öztürk Umuralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeo Rapinett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sezer İnan in the 82nd minute of play. Angelo Incorvaia charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Incorvaia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, Angelo Incorvaia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Öztürk Umuralp came free, but Amadeo Rapinett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Öztürk Umuralp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Rapinett was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Attard Gunners's Clyde Schembri Zerafa was substituted for Andrea Xuereb. The Attard Gunners players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
