The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Gillekens during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to De Keikoppers getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Gabriel Gillekens hit a great ball. In the 7th minute Palmiro Picasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert-Jan Van de Velde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gert-Jan Van de Velde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edinho Moraes in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Pau Nas Canelas's goal looked a bit too open when Kobe Vanneste came free, but Bai Chao Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinho Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gert-Jan Van de Velde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoph Haßelmann in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gert-Jan Van de Velde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pau Nas Canelas's Bai Chao Zheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kobe Vanneste in the 30th minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, Pau Nas Canelas's Christoph Haßelmann made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gert-Jan Van de Velde was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute, Kobe Vanneste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Edinho Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pau Nas Canelas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, De Keikoppers's goal looked a bit too open when Christoph Haßelmann came free, but Gert-Jan Van de Velde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Edinho Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pau Nas Canelas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edinho Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edinho Moraes made a kick off. Christoph Haßelmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert-Jan Van de Velde having to interfere. Palmiro Picasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After taking down the ball on De Keikoppers's corner Erwin Naets fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bai Chao Zheng quite easily take care of the ball. In the 66thth minute of the game Edinho Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Keikoppers's Gert-Jan Van de Velde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 71 played minutes De Keikoppers got a freekick which was hit by Tom Francken. After a rather tough play, Pau Nas Canelas's António Guterres got a free kick in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erwin Naets in the 80th minute of play forced Pau Nas Canelas's goalkeeper Bai Chao Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christoph Haßelmann's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Gert-Jan Van de Velde skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Palmiro Picasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Gert-Jan Van de Velde made a huge save. In the 90thth minute of the game Edinho Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Keikoppers's Gert-Jan Van de Velde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in De Keikoppers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! 1-3 came through a penalty shot after 95 played minutes, when Pau Nas Canelas:s Lech Biraga calmly waited for De Keikoppers:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Pau Nas Canelas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
