Dacian Smarandache made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Tomás Vimaro scored 2-3 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dacian Smarandache, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnoldo Gabrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Negara in the 57th minute of play.
