The referee ignored SE Tijolo 6 Furos's protests and gave Elias Sarmento a yellow card for diving instead. Elias Sarmento hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Alessandro Mandrak took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Gustavo Bueno. Luís Gustavo Bueno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Vinhas in the 19th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Serafim Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Pedro Paulo Moura shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Serafim Mesquita but with some difficulty. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bruninho Arósio hit a great ball. SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Luís Gustavo Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Siqueira in the 29th minute of play. Elias Sarmento took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafim Mesquita. Serafim Mesquita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Serafim Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Vinhas in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Filipe Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Ulisses Siqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafim Mesquita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s Iuri Paranaense got a free kick in the 46th minute. Pedro Paulo Moura took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Serafim Mesquita. Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessandro Mandrak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurilio Moura during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Bruninho Arósio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Gustavo Bueno having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Siqueira got free with Luís Gustavo Bueno in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maurilio Moura was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Filipe Mendonça's shot from long distance in the 62nd minute was not bad at all, but SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Luís Gustavo Bueno knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldão Vinhas in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafim Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 74 played minutes SE Tijolo 6 Furos got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Vinhas. The crowd rose to their feet as Várzea F.C.'s Marco Mangueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luís Gustavo Bueno. That made the score 1-2 after 76 minutes of play. In the 80th minute, Alessandro Mandrak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Gustavo Bueno. The goal made the score 1-3. Serafim Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão Vinhas in the 85th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Ronaldão Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iuri Paranaense hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Várzea F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
