With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serbülent Baysan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Jude Cruz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of MILLONARIOS FC's Devis Vásquez. Devis Vásquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Devis Vásquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jude Cruz in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st match minute, MILLONARIOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xoan Giraldo to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute FC Anderlecht Huachipato were awarded a corner. Jude Cruz went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on FC Anderlecht Huachipato's corner Jude Cruz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Devis Vásquez quite easily take care of the ball. Carlos José Opazo charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos José Opazo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos José Opazo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, Albano Mercadillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Serbülent Baysan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, MILLONARIOS FC's Luis Díaz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Roberto-Carlos Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto-Carlos Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Devis Vásquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto-Carlos Braga in the 36th minute of play. Xalvador Olmos kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of MILLONARIOS FC booed when FC Anderlecht Huachipato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Nolibuat didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes, Victorio Monte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Anderlecht Huachipato and the MILLONARIOS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victorio Monte hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luis Díaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Carlos José Opazo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Maties Toranzo charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 75th match minute, FC Anderlecht Huachipato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto-Carlos Braga to maneuver through the defense. Luis Díaz scored 2-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serbülent Baysan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to MILLONARIOS FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Achraf Hakimi hit a great ball. Devis Vásquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandrino Gameiro in the 83rd minute of the match. Devis Vásquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos José Opazo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. MILLONARIOS FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Anderlecht Huachipato for a fine match.
