The corner ended in Matías de Castro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SEFEROĞULLARI's Veli Irak did a great save. 41 minutes into the match, Irreal Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Kubat Karataş came free, but Allan Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 played minutes Irreal Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Lopez. Gürbüz Çelen hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Kiko Senna could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Veli Irak however easily saved by the left post. Veli Irak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo Passos in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geraldo Passos made a kick off. Veli Irak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geraldo Passos's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Senna in the 56th minute of play forced SEFEROĞULLARI's goalkeeper Veli Irak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Amílton Lopez fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irreal Madrid's protests and gave Amílton Lopez a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes SEFEROĞULLARI got a freekick which was hit by Bektaş Ali Akartürk. Geraldo Passos took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Veli Irak. Veli Irak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Irreal Madrid's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
