The audience was convinced that Tamás Holló's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikola Drinov was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Vaklin Zhablyanov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 played minutes Laziali got a freekick which was hit by Milen Kaydzhiev. In the 17th minute, Vaklin Zhablyanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute of the match Árpád Sugár sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikola Drinov skillfully saved the ball. Milen Kaydzhiev was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Laziali's Milen Kaydzhiev got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some careless play in the Laziali defense, Tamás Holló kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikola Drinov. The Laziali fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikola Drinov should have stopped the shot. Nikola Drinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Újfalussy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Naum Mentov made the kick off in the second half. Péter Gulácsi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doncho Tzvetkov in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of FC Henter Somosd booed when Laziali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diyan Kontev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikola Drinov was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from István Fülöp. The supporters of Laziali booed when FC Henter Somosd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Imre Márton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikola Drinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tamás Holló in the 63rd minute of play. Imre Bodnár charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Imre Bodnár the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tamás Holló in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikola Drinov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Naum Mentov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st match minute, Laziali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaklin Zhablyanov to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute of the match István Fülöp shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikola Drinov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Naum Mentov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Imre Márton kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Doncho Tzvetkov came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Laziali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doncho Tzvetkov couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lajos Laczkó got free with Nikola Drinov in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
