Juan Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Chalaye, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of Brazil Academy booed when Royal PSG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Gaulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Montenegro came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal PSG's Maurice Chalaye. But to his dismay, Maurice Chalaye quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Armando Meira charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Meira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, Tom Galpin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Éthan Rottier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori Ferraz in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Mangueira made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Aírton Souza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Éthan Rottier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Éthan Rottier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Maurice Chalaye came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Royal PSG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Chalaye couldn't finish the play. Juan Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Chalaye, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute.
