Vicente Villa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Rıza Zeyrek, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's Süreyya Kıvanç got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Şemsettin Tanaltay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Laudrup, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goal looked a bit too open when Venceslás Sánchez came free, but Şemsettin Tanaltay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ömer Rıza Zeyrek came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ fans jumped to their feet. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eray Sefer in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Villa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Boomer Fc's Şemsettin Tanaltay threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Prospero Diaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Laudrup to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Miguel Laudrup made a precise shot to the right of Şemsettin Tanaltay. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 71 played minutes Boomer Fc got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Laudrup. Boomer Fc made a substitution. Agustín Valerón replaced Prospero Diaz. The supporters of Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ booed when Boomer Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Laudrup didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Boomer Fc's goalkeeper Vicente Villa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orhan Dalan. 76 minutes into the match, Eray Sefer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Villa. Boomer Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eray Sefer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Eray Sefer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Vicente Villa made a huge save. 87 minutes into the game, Miguel Laudrup cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Şemsettin Tanaltay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Şemsettin Tanaltay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selmo Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Vicente Villa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eray Sefer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-3 in the 91 minute of play. Şemsettin Tanaltay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Valerón in the 96th minute of the match. Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
