The supporters of El Renacer del Quijano FC booed when Portuguesa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maicon Munhoz hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Romero in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovani de Amaral saved Portuguesa from getting behind. The El Renacer del Quijano FC fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when El Renacer del Quijano FC's Luis Romero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Giovani de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Romero in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Anacleto Txaran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eustaquio Elivareo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Charles Arantes made a great header on Portuguesa's corner, it was just that El Renacer del Quijano FC's Eustaquio Elivareo managed to reach the ball for a save. Charles Arantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Eustaquio Elivareo made a huge save. Giovani de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Luis Romero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovani de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's Betinho Severo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eustaquio Elivareo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute of the match Jimeno Jax sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giovani de Amaral skillfully saved the ball. Luis Romero struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Giovani de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Renacer del Quijano FC. In the 34th minute Betinho Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustaquio Elivareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustaquio Elivareo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betinho Severo in the 38th minute of the match. After 42 minutes of play, El Renacer del Quijano FC's Narciso Francho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giovani de Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Portuguesa's Betinho Severo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eustaquio Elivareo. That made the score 1-3 after 47 minutes of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Luis Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 56 minutes into the game, Anacleto Txaran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Renacer del Quijano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portuguesa the free kick. In the 58th minute, Anacleto Txaran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Arantes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eustaquio Elivareo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Portuguesa's Giovani de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Romero in the 65th minute of play. Luis Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Pedro Augusto de Barros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eustaquio Elivareo. El Renacer del Quijano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Augusto de Barros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Portuguesa's Giovani de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Romero in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Portuguesa's Betinho Severo got a free kick in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Romero came free, but Giovani de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of El Renacer del Quijano FC booed when Portuguesa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. El Renacer del Quijano FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
