Cobresal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Pincheira got free with José Maria Pontes in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Mayol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerd Aschemann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cobresal's Alifonso Elorreaga got a free kick in the 24th minute. José Maria Pontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florín Sances's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 36 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Xavi Thayer. Xavi Thayer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Maria Pontes having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Cobresal's José Maria Pontes threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Salvador Roldán, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 44th minute, Dieguinho Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Cobresal's Florín Sances ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind José Maria Pontes. José Maria Pontes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florín Sances made a kick off. For all the effort they put into the match, the COURO COME FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cobresal.
