The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Mali i Thatë FC's goal looked a bit too open when William Rossi came free, but Genci Qatipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Pereira in the 6th minute of play forced Mali i Thatë FC's goalkeeper Genci Qatipi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th match minute, Mali i Thatë FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merlon Geri to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Vinhas got free with Genci Qatipi in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilian Carioca scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genci Qatipi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute Nildo Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genci Qatipi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When COURO COME FC's Nildo Pereira in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mali i Thatë FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eneid Ilo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, COURO COME FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erald Bauta came free, but José Maria Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. COURO COME FC's José Maria Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erald Bauta in the 43rd minute of play. When Meleq Tare fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mali i Thatë FC's protests and gave Meleq Tare a yellow card for diving instead. Meleq Tare hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Meleq Tare to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by COURO COME FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eneid Ilo was slow to take the kick. During this time Mali i Thatë FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Mali i Thatë FC's Aldo Peshkatari getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. José Maria Pontes came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Mali i Thatë FC's Erald Bauta. But to his dismay, Erald Bauta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Rossi during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Mali i Thatë FC's Aldo Peshkatari dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. COURO COME FC's Jean de Toledo was substituted for William Rossi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elion Fazliu during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of COURO COME FC booed when Mali i Thatë FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elion Fazliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Benê Alvarenga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genci Qatipi. Mali i Thatë FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benê Alvarenga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Peshkatari in the 79th minute of play forced COURO COME FC's goalkeeper José Maria Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, COURO COME FC's goalkeeper José Maria Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Meleq Tare. José Maria Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eneid Ilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The COURO COME FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mali i Thatë FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
