After 5 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Xavi Thayer. The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Sefedin Gjyle put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Mali i Thatë FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cobresal:s goal. Drini Kapaj had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Eriberto Pincheira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Patricio Mayol made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Meleq Tare sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klime Zhulali during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Mali i Thatë FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klime Zhulali to maneuver through the defense. Drini Kapaj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Roldán, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Mali i Thatë FC's Meleq Tare ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patricio Mayol. Patricio Mayol yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 38 minutes into the game, Cobresal's Salvador Roldán nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Drini Kapaj made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Meleq Tare made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Alifonso Elorreaga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Drini Kapaj. The goal made the score 1-3. Drini Kapaj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Roldán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mali i Thatë FC's Drini Kapaj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Mali i Thatë FC from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute, Xavi Thayer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florín Sances could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Drini Kapaj made a huge save. In the 65th minute Florín Sances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drini Kapaj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Salvador Roldán fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cobresal's protests and gave Salvador Roldán a yellow card for diving instead. Mali i Thatë FC made a substitution. Emilio Ziko replaced Jakub Myftiu. In the 68th minute, Salvador Roldán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute Florín Sances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drini Kapaj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Pincheira got free with Drini Kapaj in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Mali i Thatë FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Emilio Ziko hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florín Sances in the 81st minute of play forced Mali i Thatë FC's goalkeeper Drini Kapaj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Alifonso Elorreaga made a precise shot to the right of Drini Kapaj. Mali i Thatë FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Drini Kapaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florín Sances in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mali i Thatë FC's Erald Bauta got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of Cobresal booed when Mali i Thatë FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Indrit Surroi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Salvador Roldán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drini Kapaj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mali i Thatë FC's Drini Kapaj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Mali i Thatë FC from getting a goal against them. The Mali i Thatë FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cobresal were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
