After 5 played minutes, Altamora FC's Ademar Baía shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benedicto Iago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Altamora FC reached it. In the 7th match minute, Altamora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeferino Lage to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goalkeeper Alípio Franco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dante Txeru. Alípio Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Montez in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Altamora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Calado to maneuver through the defense. Alípio Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Montez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alípio Franco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dante Txeru showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Alípio Franco was a little too slow when Zacarias Ignado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. Altamora FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Cipriano Montez scored to the left of an out of position Alípio Franco, making the score, 3-0. After having played for 31 minutes, Norberto Vilanova managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altamora FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Vilanova was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Marcos Donostia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alípio Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match, Jonatan Ferran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alípio Franco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
Cipriano Montez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alípio Franco having to interfere. Zacarias Ignado hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes Altamora FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudemiro Coelho. Alípio Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Ignado in the 62nd minute of play. Altamora FC's Alípio Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Donostia in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Dante Txeru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alípio Franco was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Montez in the 71st minute of play forced Altamora FC's goalkeeper Alípio Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Rui Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Altamora FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensores de Mar de Ajó the free kick. Zacarias Ignado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Txeru came free, but Alípio Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Defensores de Mar de Ajó booed when Altamora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Calado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alípio Franco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Txeru, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Ignado came free, but Alípio Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Altamora FC got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Salgado. After recieving a nice pass, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Braulio Perrando tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Dante Txeru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Defensores de Mar de Ajó were the better team. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
