In the 67th minute of the match FC LIVERPOOL got a corner. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Boguslaw Hoffman ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Boguslaw Hoffman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Richie Golz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Andy Zeyer's late challenge caught a FC LIVERPOOL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andy Zeyer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Geißler to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Eneko came free, but Richie Golz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Wilfredo Eneko got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 4-0. 98 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC LIVERPOOL.
