In the 6th minute, Bruno Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Doriva Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reimundo Olarria. 8 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Queirós came free, but Bermudo Mestre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reimundo Olarria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Doriva Simões made a huge save. Bermudo Mestre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agnaldo Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borussia Dortmund's Bermudo Mestre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agnaldo Sampaio in the 15th minute of play. Reimundo Olarria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filipe Zaballos hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Filipe Zaballos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Doriva Simões made a huge save. Marcel Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bermudo Mestre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Marcel Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bermudo Mestre was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Bruno Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Borussia Dortmund's Filipe Zaballos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Doriva Simões. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. With 42 minutes on the clock, Ulizes Pruano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fabrício Miranda, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Borussia Dortmund's Bermudo Mestre. 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reimundo Olarria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doriva Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reimundo Olarria went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the game, Demesio Tarapiella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ the free kick. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Eduardo Duarte was substituted for José Maria Macedo. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ made a substitution. Natã Koehler replaced Ediberto Xavier. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Kauan Garcia was substituted for Edinho Favoretto. Demesio Tarapiella hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Alberto Tafoya left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Borussia Dortmund fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Bermudo Mestre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Queirós in the 79th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Bermudo Mestre successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Miranda in the 82nd minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Bermudo Mestre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Borussia Dortmund's Bermudo Mestre got control of the ball when Reginaldo Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Sampaio came free, but Bermudo Mestre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Borussia Dortmund fans cheered their team off the field, for while CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
