Brice Leach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teun Schoenmakers in the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Salvador Braswell threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lemel SV's Guus Rinzema quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 5 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's Teun Schoenmakers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brice Leach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Ellsworth Lindsay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mark Kimman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loic Deal got free with Mark Kimman in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's goalkeeper Mark Kimman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loic Deal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Loic Deal in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mark Kimman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute, Teun Schoenmakers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Koos Teunissen came free, but Brice Leach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes, Peter Smibum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lemel SV and the Varennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Varennes booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Smibum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teun Schoenmakers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 played minutes Varennes got a freekick which was hit by Lee Coffman. Lemel SV were furious when Falco Boerma was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Lemel SV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Varennes:s goal. Lemel SV:s Mark Kimman showed great skill when he stopped Salvador Braswell:s penalty. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teun Schoenmakers made a kick off. Varennes's Brice Leach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teun Schoenmakers in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Felicien Mooney got a free kick in the 56th minute. Mark Kimman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ellsworth Lindsay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lemel SV's Mark Kimman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ellsworth Lindsay in the 60th minute of play. Mark Kimman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ellsworth Lindsay, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Lemel SV's Edward Verbeek got a free kick in the 61st minute. Teun Schoenmakers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brice Leach having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Rudi Hateboer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lemel SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudi Hateboer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brice Leach breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Varennes fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lemel SV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
