In the 8th minute Teun Schoenmakers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito Batista charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Guus Rinzema's late challenge caught a AS Pikachuzim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Bittencourt in the 34th minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper Mark Kimman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Bittencourt made a kick off. Lemel SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Teun Schoenmakers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luiz Matorin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mark Kimman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Pikachuzim.
