In the 12thth minute of the game Nicu Maghiran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brufoss IL's Olav Øverby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mircea Avacariței showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor-Egil Arntsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Nicu Maghiran did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Olav Øverby 17 minutes into the match. Mircea Avacariței took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Foldnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Olav Øverby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nik Nicola. Bastian Ytterstad hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Urzicuța getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Marian Sfetcu hit a great ball. Olav Øverby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrei Nicola in the 27th minute of play. After 30 minutes, Bendik Strande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brufoss IL and the FC Urzicuța players grew even worse after the yellow card. 32 minutes into the match, FC Urzicuța's goal looked a bit too open when Tor-Egil Arntsen came free, but Mircea Avacariței reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Nicu Maghiran sped through Brufoss IL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olav Øverby. The Brufoss IL fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Brufoss IL's Kenneth Foldnes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 43 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Olav Øverby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicu Maghiran. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when FC Urzicuța was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Maghiran didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Tor-Egil Arntsen notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of FC Urzicuța's Mircea Avacariței. Mircea Avacariței was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Brufoss IL were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicu Maghiran was the one to do the kick off. Nik Nicola struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Olav Øverby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Urzicuța. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastian Ytterstad in the 60th minute of play forced FC Urzicuța's goalkeeper Mircea Avacariței to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mircea Avacariței showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth Foldnes in the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Tore Fagermo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Mircea Avacariței showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastian Ytterstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 76th minute, Andrei Nicola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olav Øverby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Nicola in the 78th minute of the match. Nicu Maghiran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olav Øverby having to interfere. A collision led to FC Urzicuța getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Sandu Baltian hit a great ball. Mircea Avacariței showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastian Ytterstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute FC Urzicuța were awarded a corner. Nik Nicola went to the cornerflag to take it. FC Urzicuța's Nik Nicola was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olav Øverby in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Bastian Ytterstad kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Bastian Ytterstad struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Mircea Avacariței didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brufoss IL. Nik Nicola charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nik Nicola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Nik Nicola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Urzicuța supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brufoss IL's performance. The match ended with a win for Brufoss IL.
