When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Felix Pascua took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sergio Romeri to make any attempt to save it. Veronica Sabugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Romeri having to interfere. In the 14th minute Veronica Sabugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Romeri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melchor Nayely hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Veronica Sabugo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loja S.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Felix Pascua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Romeri having to interfere. Rene Carrandi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Romeri having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Bahía é Carnaval got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Gau. In the 30th minute, Melchor Nayely got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bahía é Carnaval's Sergio Romeri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veronica Sabugo in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 played minutes Bahía é Carnaval got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Ramone. Veronica Sabugo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sergio Romeri made a huge save. Melchor Nayely hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Veronica Sabugo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sergio Romeri, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandro Antoniano during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fidel Lecea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genaro Hernandez's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After 44 played minutes, Loja S.C.'s Isaias Mobilla shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sergio Romeri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Loja S.C. reached it. If Rene Carrandi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to Loja S.C. getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Samuel Nocedo hit a great ball. Veronica Sabugo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Romeri having to make a save. In the 61st minute, Melchor Nayely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Pascua might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sergio Romeri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Pascua ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Veronica Sabugo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergio Romeri saved Bahía é Carnaval from getting behind. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Veronica Sabugo sped through Bahía é Carnaval's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sergio Romeri. After having played for 68 minutes, Rene Carrandi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loja S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Carrandi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bahía é Carnaval's Paulino Domingues got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 73rd minute, Felix Pascua made a precise shot to the right of Sergio Romeri. Bahía é Carnaval's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Veronica Sabugo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Romeri having to make a save. 80 minutes into the match, Felix Pascua notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Bahía é Carnaval's Sergio Romeri. Sergio Romeri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sergio Romeri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Carrandi in the 90th minute of the match. After 93 minutes of play, Loja S.C.'s Felix Pascua made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergio Romeri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Loja S.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
