Felipe Senzano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Wellington Montenegro made a huge save. With a little luck, Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro got control of the ball when Frisco Arroyo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felipe Senzano charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Senzano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Felipe Senzano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Estebanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Esteves in the 9th minute of play. Wellington Montenegro came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Sabaneta FC's Frisco Arroyo. But to his dismay, Frisco Arroyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Wellington Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frisco Arroyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frisco Arroyo got free with Wellington Montenegro in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandez Cueva in the 26th minute of play. Wellington Montenegro came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Sabaneta FC's Fernandez Cueva. But to his dismay, Fernandez Cueva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 33 minutes into the game, Bebeto Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sabaneta FC the free kick. After 33 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Leal. Wellington Montenegro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frisco Arroyo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. In the 38th minute, Cuarto Alvarez had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. André Luiz Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Frisco Arroyo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wellington Montenegro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Fernandez Cueva hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute Clemente Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Júlio Valladares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sabaneta FC the free kick. The supporters of Sabaneta FC booed when Joinville Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Vander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Lautaro Estebanez made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frisco Arroyo in the 66th minute of play forced Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Wellington Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frisco Arroyo in the 69th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Fernandez Cueva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wellington Montenegro. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernandez Cueva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Wellington Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frisco Arroyo in the 88th minute of the match. Wellington Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frisco Arroyo in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Ruy came free, but Wellington Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellington Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Angulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sabaneta FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
