Amadeo Jatsu made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Martien Degenkamp sent off a good shot on target. Geert Arend van Zijl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Rein Helwig hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Amadeo Jatsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael de Groot in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Aarón Anselmino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julius van Zijl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julius van Zijl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas-Armando Giunta, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Julius van Zijl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgilio Corderall in the 55th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas Jan Lammers came free, but Amadeo Jatsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when FC Bal op het Dak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans de Graaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Bal op het Dak fans cheered their team off the field, for while Abuba Akotonon FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
