Spectators: 7751 (Terracing: 5815, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sixto Jurgi started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, FC Lutanu's Pedrinho Breckenfeld nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Gau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cristian Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Breckenfeld in the 9th minute of play. FC Lutanu were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Copérnico F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedrinho Breckenfeld took the corner. With a little luck, FC Lutanu's Remus Talianu got control of the ball when Sixto Jurgi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 16 played minutes FC Lutanu got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Geambașu. Remus Talianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Dubardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Geambașu in the 22nd minute of play forced Copérnico F.C.'s goalkeeper Cristian Gau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Aurelian Zburlea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lutanu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Copérnico F.C. the free kick. A collision led to FC Lutanu getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Aurelian Zburlea hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Copérnico F.C. defense, Pedrinho Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Gau. The Copérnico F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Gau should have stopped the shot. Copérnico F.C.'s Cristian Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Breckenfeld in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Copérnico F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pedrinho Breckenfeld was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Lutanu's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, FC Lutanu's Aurelian Zburlea got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Copérnico F.C.'s Cristian Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Geambașu in the 36th minute of play. Sixto Jurgi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pedrinho Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Cristian Gau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Jurgi in the 56th minute of play forced FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Remus Talianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, FC Lutanu's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Dubardo came free, but Remus Talianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 played minutes Copérnico F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Ugaitz. Pedrinho Breckenfeld's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Cristian Gau skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cristian Gau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedrinho Breckenfeld in the 68th minute. Remus Talianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Jurgi, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Fabian Geambașu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute FC Lutanu were awarded a corner. Pedrinho Breckenfeld went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC Lutanu's Pedrinho Breckenfeld to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristian Gau despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Copérnico F.C.'s Cristian Gau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Copérnico F.C. from getting a goal against them. A collision led to FC Lutanu getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Fabian Geambașu hit a great ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Sixto Jurgi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Copérnico F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Jurgi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Copérnico F.C.'s Cristian Gau got control of the ball when Pedrinho Breckenfeld tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Copérnico F.C.'s zone, Pedrinho Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Gau came out of the goal and Pedrinho Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Copérnico F.C.'s Cristian Gau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Copérnico F.C. from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Matei Hâncu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristian Gau. That made the score 0-3 in the 88 minute of play. FC Lutanu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
