Rene Goren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicanor Olando was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, one of chacarita juniors:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Alijilán returns. Rolando Olayo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rene Goren. 0-3. With a little luck, Alijilán returns's Lino Naelio got control of the ball when Prudencio Vedillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Jimeno Seme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Goren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 31st minute Jimeno Seme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Goren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, chacarita juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Seme came free, but Rene Goren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Jimeno Seme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rene Goren. chacarita juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimeno Seme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 44 minutes of play, Alijilán returns's Rene Houseman made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rene Goren was left in no man's land by his defense there! The chacarita juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alijilán returns were winning 0-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Prudencio Vedillo made a kick off. Rene Goren came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Alijilán returns's Jimeno Seme. But to his dismay, Jimeno Seme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. The supporters of Alijilán returns booed when chacarita juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Ordono didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rene Houseman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Goren was a little too slow when Jimeno Seme got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-8. Rene Goren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesar Sagrario in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesar Sagrario got free with Rene Goren in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rene Goren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Garate in the 70th minute of the match. Angel Leguizamón charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Leguizamón the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Houseman couldn't finish the play. Jimeno Seme in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rene Goren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the final whistle sounded Alijilán returns left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than chacarita juniors.
