After 2 played minutes PTB Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Antoni Napierkowski. In the 3rd minute of the match Sandu Tudor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marian Galaska skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as PTB Football Club's Marcin Bugajski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Codruț Tuleiu. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. If Boguslaw Bycofski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Galaska made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilie Balaci in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Ilie Balaci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marian Galaska was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Marian Galaska made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Matei in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute Ilie Balaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Galaska saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcin Bugajski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codruț Tuleiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of PTB Football Club booed when F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Balaci didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alin Stolniciu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antoni Lichniak made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Felix Ciorănescu. After 62 minutes, Dacian Goiceanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- and the PTB Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Ştefan Matei got a free kick in the 84th minute. With an all-out effort, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Marian Galaska threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alin Stolniciu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Erik Cantona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marian Galaska showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Stolniciu in the 93rd minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
