The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdomiro Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Betinho Dantas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Betinho Dantas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Betinho Dantas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Valdemar Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eurico Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Diniz having to interfere. Abelardo Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Pinho in the 97th minute of play. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tamboril's performance. The match ended with a win for Tamboril.
