Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brutal DeLuxe the free kick. In the 7th match minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Dantas to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Brutal DeLuxe's goalkeeper Jan Mager had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flávio Branco. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Betinho Dantas got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 16 minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jörgen Kämpe who took care of the corner kick. After 17 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Branco. Valdemar Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henric Lövkvist in the 19th minute of the match. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henric Lövkvist in the 22nd minute of play. Jan Mager made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flávio Branco in the 27th minute. In the 28th match minute, Brutal DeLuxe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Häger to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Alvar Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes, Alvar Larsson made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remo Carneiro got free with Jan Mager in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvar Larsson to make the kick off. Jan Mager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Carneiro in the 53rd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! After 63 played minutes Brutal DeLuxe got a freekick which was hit by Henric Lövkvist. A collision led to Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Eurico Pinho hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Larsson came free, but Valdemar Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Brutal DeLuxe's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Carneiro came free, but Jan Mager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vítor Lara fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s protests and gave Vítor Lara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brutal DeLuxe booed when Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flávio Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Valdemar Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvar Larsson in the 93rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Valdemar Quadros got control of the ball when Alvar Larsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 97 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Recife. When the final whistle went the supporters of Brutal DeLuxe were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- side.
