After some careless play in the Cosa nostra Lyon defense, Adrian Spirea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmid Lamouroux. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmid Lamouroux should have stopped the shot. Fabian Isăcescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joey Vacheron in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Avgustin Raykov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Adrian Spirea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th match minute, Cosa nostra Lyon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofil Jarosiewicz to maneuver through the defense. Ahmid Lamouroux didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Amânaloae went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Fabian Isăcescu made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Vivien Contant sent off a good shot on target. Fabian Isăcescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vivien Contant's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After 45 played minutes Cosa nostra Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Alex Lagarrigue. After the first half Alexandria Team08 were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Manuel Amânaloae made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Alexandria Team08 getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Felix Dobrea hit a great ball. Alex Lagarrigue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Fabian Isăcescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmid Lamouroux made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bogdan Goma in the 65th minute. Alexandria Team08's Fabian Isăcescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivien Contant in the 71st minute of play. After 74 minutes of play, Cosa nostra Lyon's Vivien Contant made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabian Isăcescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alex Lagarrigue struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Fabian Isăcescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosa nostra Lyon. The supporters of Alexandria Team08 booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Lardenois didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Isăcescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivien Contant in the 82nd minute of play. Manuel Amânaloae succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 84th playminute. Avgustin Raykov was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 89 minutes into the match. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cosa nostra Lyon! The goalkeeper, Ahmid Lamouroux, was totally fooled by Alexandria Team08's Adrian Spirea, who 90 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alexandria Team08 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
