In the 3rd minute, Giotis Kalokerinos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giorgos Maragozis in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Rico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Gustavo De la Torre got a free kick in the 7th minute. Giorgos Maragozis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Theocharis Pouliadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Rico having to interfere. Valentinos Kanellakis scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristo Rico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Theocharis Pouliadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Giorgos Maragozis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Rico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burni Justo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Santander in the 34th minute of play forced Kerkyra FC's goalkeeper Loukas Kois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Club Celta de Vigo's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 38th minute of the game, when Danilo Santander after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Kerkyra FC's goal. Danilo Santander was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Giorgos Maragozis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Real Club Celta de Vigo got a freekick which was hit by Romo Unzueta.

The wind increased when Giorgos Maragozis made the kick off in the second half. Cristo Rico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentinos Kanellakis's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Cristo Rico was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Giorgos Maragozis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Giorgos Maragozis really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Cristo Rico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Maragozis in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentinos Kanellakis in the 74th minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Cristo Rico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Valentinos Kanellakis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristo Rico. That made the score 0-4 in the 77 minute of play. Gustavo De la Torre hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentinos Kanellakis in the 83rd minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Cristo Rico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Takis Kanavidis kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Kerkyra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bladi Lama came free, but Loukas Kois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loukas Kois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Santander in the 92nd minute of the match. The Kerkyra FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kerkyra FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
