When Carmine Moretta fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored forsal FC's protests and gave Carmine Moretta a yellow card for diving instead. Carmine Moretta hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Alberigo Cavaliere had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Loukas Kois. Kerkyra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberigo Cavaliere was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Giotis Kalokerinos hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, forsal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgos Maragozis came free, but Alex Franceschi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giorgos Maragozis took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex Franceschi. Alex Franceschi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 27 minutes into the game, Giorgos Maragozis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kerkyra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave forsal FC the free kick. After 27 played minutes Kerkyra FC got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Maragozis. 30 minutes into the game, forsal FC's Alberigo Cavaliere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Loukas Kois made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Alex Franceschi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giorgos Maragozis's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Alex Franceschi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Maragozis in the 43rd minute of the match. After 46 minutes, Takis Kanavidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kerkyra FC and the forsal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberigo Cavaliere made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, forsal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Cavaliere to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 54 minutes, Valentinos Kanellakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kerkyra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentinos Kanellakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giorgos Maragozis kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 64thth minute. Though ot was a great shot forsal FC's keeper Alex Franceschi was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Kerkyra FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after forsal FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Giorgos Maragozis took the corner. The corner ended in Giorgos Maragozis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but forsal FC's Alex Franceschi did a great save. Kerkyra FC's Vaggelis Papadakis was substituted for Vassilis Katsourinis. After 71 played minutes forsal FC got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Secco. During the 76th minute of the match Clóvis Secco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Clóvis Secco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Giorgos Maragozis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Alex Franceschi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 82ndth minute of the game Giorgos Maragozis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but forsal FC's Alex Franceschi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alberigo Cavaliere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Loukas Kois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Kerkyra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marinos Katsiaros to maneuver through the defense. Alberigo Cavaliere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Loukas Kois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kerkyra FC's Loukas Kois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Nero in the 92nd minute of play. Carmine Moretta was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Kerkyra FC booed when forsal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Moretta didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kerkyra FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for forsal FC.
