He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lobo Guará reached it. In the 18th minute Gustavo Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Mannie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boquenses's Prudencio Mannie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Nunes in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Boquenses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Aurken to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Claudinei Tande made a precise shot to the right of Prudencio Mannie. Boquenses's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 32 played minutes Boquenses got a freekick which was hit by Placido Bidari. Prudencio Mannie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Claudinei Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Mannie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Gustavo Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Prudencio Mannie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Olívio Freire replaced Claudinei Tande. After 80 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Leite. Paulo Renato Arce hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lobo Guará's goalkeeper Vânderson Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 82 minutes, Gustavo Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lobo Guará and the Boquenses players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gustavo Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes in the game, Placido Bidari dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 85th minute Júnior Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Mannie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lobo Guará's Vânderson Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Hotz in the 95th minute of play. The Boquenses manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Lobo Guará to win.
