The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Guillermo Manilan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Eger came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Álvarez's Guillermo Manilan. But to his dismay, Guillermo Manilan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Fred Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Montesclarense E.C. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. André Luiz Custódio hit a great ball. Fred Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Luiz Eger made a huge save. After having played for 17 minutes, Guillermo Manilan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportivo Álvarez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Manilan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Montesclarense E.C. getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Sidney Schmidt hit a great ball. Luiz Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Manilan in the 26th minute of play. Fred Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eger having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Guerra. Guillermo Manilan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Eger came out and tried to block the shot, but Guillermo Manilan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 31st minute. Bruninho Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Santiago Peio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Eger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Club Deportivo Álvarez booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Guillermo Manilan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kauan Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Club Deportivo Álvarez getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Guillermo Manilan hit a great ball. After 52 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Custódio. In the 58thth minute of the game Kauan Guerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Deportivo Álvarez's Maximino Constancio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. André Luiz Custódio hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Club Deportivo Álvarez's Maximino Constancio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo Álvarez from getting a goal against them. After 65 minutes, André Luiz Custódio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montesclarense E.C. and the Club Deportivo Álvarez players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maximino Constancio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Bruninho Paraense got a free kick in the 85th minute. Club Deportivo Álvarez made a substitution. Baltasar Ladio replaced Bebur Levidze. Maximino Constancio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Guerra in the 89th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fred Alcântara came free, but Luiz Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
